mF2C announce the Summer Camp week, 6-10 May 2019 in Barcelona

mF2C is pleased to annunce its Summer Camp week, that includes the following events:

  • Summer Camp
  • EAB meeting and Project Review Meeting

All events will be organized by Barcelona Supercomputing Center, hosted by UPC, and supported by ATOS and Worldsensing.

The Summer Camp will be the most relevant event, it aims at supporting the exploitation of the mF2C Project, attracting professionals involved in real life Smart Cities, Smart transportation, or researchers involved in cloud, fog and IoT areas, to collect specific business and technological needs, so helping in defining an advanced business strategy.

At the same time some sessions will train the audience in the relevant cloud, fog, edge, IoT areas.  One day will be dedicated to demonstration of mF2C features and capabilities, showing how various requirements from different sectors can be managed by the mF2C system.

The External Advisory Board will follow with the participation of the following experts from universities and industry:

  • Kate Keahey (Argonne National Lab / University of Chicago)
  • Amy Apon (Clemson University)
  • Dominic Schupke (Airbus Industries)
  • Jianping Wang (City University of Hong Kong)
  • Guang-Jie Ren (IBM Almaden Research Center)

This will enable us to gather useful feedback and suggestions for the improvement of the project outcomes.

Finally we will have the 8th project Review meeting, to check the progression of the IT-2 development for core components and use cases
