mF2C presented at the IEEE 5th World Forum on Internet of Things (WF-IoT)

The IEEE 5th World Forum on Internet of Things (WF-IoT) has been held in the University of Limerick, Ireland, on 15-18 April 2019.

WF-IoT 2019 is the premier conference for the IEEE IoT Initiative and consists of the most outstanding participants from the research community, the public sector, and industry. The theme of the Conference is “IoT and the Digital Revolution” in recognition of strides and leadership that the host location of Limerick and Ireland has made in the deployment of “smart” technologies, operating principles, and policies. The theme also underscores the importance of IoT technologies in bringing about the digital revolution and making it a reality.

The program also contains strong involvement from  research, academic, industry and public sector, aiming at presenting the latest technology developments and innovations in the many fields and disciplines that drive the utility and vitality of IoT solutions and applications, as well as deepening the understanding, the necessary dialog, and actions needed to accelerate the adoption and deployment of IoT.

On April 17th , within the “IF4 – Analytics and AI for Industrial IoT” session, John Kennedy (Intel Labs Europe) introduced mF2C  framework, presenting the project at a high level as researching and developing solutions for distributed fog to cloud environments such as could be found in industrial applications.
