mF2C has organized a workshop in Euro-Par 2017,

The workshop deals with the different aspects related to innovative large and distributed computing scenarios that are envisioned as the natural evolution of current cloud scenarios. The workshop also address the different aspects of parallel programming, its applicability to those scenarios and any other software required to suitable manage such a complex scenario.

Title: The emerging edge – drivers, technologies and challenges – an industry perspective

Abstract:

This session will present a perspective from industry on how IoT is enabling new use cases, driving new technologies and posing new research challenges inside the data center and beyond to the emerging edge. Various industry initiatives and research efforts that are targeting these challenges will also be introduced.
